This application includes detailed instructions and important program information throughout. Please read all text carefully as you complete your application.

Below are the materials you will be required to submit for Girls Who Invest's 2025 programs application:

All required fill-in fields and short answer questions in this application
One written essay of 350-500 words (prompt within application)
Resume detailing work experience and extracurricular involvement
A one-minute pre-recorded video (instructions within application)
Supplementary Documents (may be submitted after deadline)
- Academic Transcripts
  - Sophomore applicants: Complete college transcript*
  - First-Year applicants: Complete high school transcript* (grades 9-12 or equivalent coursework)
- Two feedback forms from applicant-designated references (Summer Intensive Program applicants only)

*Unofficial transcripts can be considered in the application review process

Note: High school transcripts may be required of admitted Scholars with sophomore standing at the time of confirmation of program enrollment.

This application can be completed across multiple sittings. Once your application has been created, you will be able to save your progress and come back to the application as many times as you need, as long as it is completed and submitted by the appropriate deadline.

Class Standing & Graduation Date

Girls Who Invest defines class standing by anticipated college graduation date, not by accumulation of credit.

Please provide your class standing according to your college graduation date (details below), regardless of total credits accumulated to date.

Sophomores: Students with sophomore standing are eligible to apply for both the 2025 Summer Intensive and Online Intensive Programs. Sophomore standing applies to any undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation between fall 2026 and spring 2027, for example, those who will be traditional college sophomores in the fall term of 2024 or students who entered or are entering college with sophomore standing.

First-years: Students with first-year standing are eligible to apply for the 2025 Online Intensive Program only. First-year standing applies to any undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation between fall 2027 and spring 2028, for example, those who will have first-year standing in the fall term of 2024 or those who will have sophomore standing in the fall term of 2024 but are enrolled in a dual-degree program that will be completed between fall 2027 and spring 2028.

Before You Begin

Prior to beginning your application to Girls Who Invest's 2025 programs, please review the following information carefully:

Full participation is a key tenet of Girls Who Invest and is a requirement for all program participants. Though program dates are subject to change, the Summer Intensive Program is likely to begin on or around May 31, 2025, and occur through August 15, 2025, with mandatory virtual programming beginning in January 2025; the Online Intensive Program will administer coursework from February through August 2025. Significant conflicts or lack of availability may impact the experience for participating Scholars, and, in the case of Summer Intensive Program applicants, program eligibility.
Girls Who Invest does not limit or exclude applications according to citizenship status. Be advised that the majority of internship placements in GWI's programs require unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. and will not be filled by students on Curricular Practical Training (CPT), or by those who would otherwise need visa sponsorship in the future (i.e. STEM OPT, H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).
Participants must be 18 prior to May 31, 2025, in order to participate in in-person programming. (Birth date does not affect eligibility for the Online Intensive Program.)

Application Deadlines

Girls Who Invest offers two rounds of application deadlines. All application rounds are non-binding; there is no commitment to accept if admitted to a program. Deadlines to apply for either application round are as follows:

Early Deadline: Thursday, September 5, 2024, 11:59 p.m. local time

Regular Deadline: Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 11:59 p.m. local time

While supplementary documents can be submitted after the respective round's stated deadline (details within the application), GWI reserves the right to review and render final decisions on incomplete applications. As such, we ask that all required materials are uploaded as close as possible to the deadline for your intended application round. Supplementary documents include transcripts required for your specific year of study and feedback forms from applicant-designated references (Summer Intensive Program applicants only).

Application decisions are typically released 6 - 8 weeks after a round's stated deadline.
