Prospective Scholars can apply to the GWI Intensive Program which begins with a unified curriculum that builds technical and career development skills to position Scholars for successful careers in investment management and beyond. Sophomore applicants can opt into consideration for an Internship Track within the GWI Intensive Program.

Select Scholars placed on the Internship Track will be eligible for paid internships at GWI Partner Firms. As the program progresses, Scholars will continue their education in either the Summer Intensive Program (SIP) or in the Online Intensive Program (OIP) - dependent on factors including but not limited to availability of internships at our Partner Firms, Scholar internship preferences, and in-program performance.

Below are the materials you will be required to submit to apply to the 2026 GWI Intensive Program:

One written essay of 350-500 words (prompt within application)
Resume detailing work experience and extracurricular involvement
A one-minute pre-recorded video (instructions within application)

- Two feedback forms from applicant-designated references (Internship Track Applicants Only)

Note: Supplementary documents, including transcripts, may be provided after an application has been submitted. Unofficial transcripts can be considered in the application review process.

This application can be completed across multiple sittings. Once your application has been created, you will be able to save your progress and come back to the application as many times as you need, as long as it is completed and submitted by the appropriate deadline.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The final deadline to apply to the 2026 GWI Intensive Program is Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Class Standing & Graduation Date

GWI defines class standing by anticipated college graduation date, not by accumulation of credit. If you have questions about eligibility, please contact us at application@girlswhoinvest.org.

Sophomores: Students with sophomore standing are eligible to opt into consideration for the Internship Track within the 2026 GWI Intensive Program. Sophomore standing applies to any undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation between fall 2027 and spring 2028, for example, those who will be traditional college sophomores in the fall term of 2025 or students who entered or are entering college with sophomore standing.

First-years: Students with first-year standing are eligible to apply to the 2026 GWI Intensive Program only, and are not eligible to opt into consideration for the Internship Track. First-year standing applies to any undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation between fall 2028 and spring 2029, for example, those who will have first-year standing in the fall term of 2025 or those who will have sophomore standing in the fall term of 2025 but are enrolled in a dual-degree program that will be completed between fall 2028 and spring 2029.

Before You Begin

Prior to beginning your application to the 2026 GWI Intensive Program, please review the following information carefully:

Full participation is a key tenet of Girls Who Invest and is a requirement for all program participants. Though program dates are subject to change, mandatory virtual programming for the GWI Intensive Program will begin on December 1, 2025, and will continue through summer 2026 with ongoing educational and professional experiences. For further details regarding time commitments, please review Our Programs page carefully.
Girls Who Invest does not limit or exclude applications according to citizenship status. Be advised that the majority of internship matches facilitated by GWI require unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. and will not be filled by students on Curricular Practical Training (CPT), or by those who would otherwise need visa sponsorship in the future (i.e., STEM OPT, H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).
Participants must be 18 prior to May 1, 2026, in order to participate in in-person programming.

Application Deadlines

The GWI Team will review applications on a rolling basis.

The final deadline to apply to the 2026 GWI Intensive Program is Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

While supplementary documents can be submitted after an application has been submitted (details within the application), GWI reserves the right to review and render final decisions on incomplete applications. As such, we ask that all required materials are uploaded as close as possible to the date of application submission. Supplementary documents include transcripts required for your specific year of study and feedback forms from applicant-designated references (Internship Track Applicants Only).

Decisions will be released on a rolling basis as applications are submitted and reviewed. Applications submitted on or around the final deadline (October 1, 2025) can anticipate receiving a decision in mid-November.
